Kitty has fun with scarecrows every year in front of the corn patch. The first scarecrow-ess was named Nellie. Actually all the scarecrow-ess’ are named Nellie. All the scarecrows are named Ned. Some years there’s a pair, some years only one or the other and some years they have friends. They don’t actually scare away the crows because they’ve been found splattered with crow droppings! But Kitty has fun and so do the passersby who sometimes stop to take pictures because scarecrows in the corn patch are a rarity these days. |
